Golf

Sunset Hills Golf Course is an oasis on the Panhandle Plains. With a USGA Course Rating of 69.0, the 18 hole irrigated course has a slope of 117. The 5,977 yard  course has a par of 71. It is open year round with no tee time required. College  and Junior Golf Memberships are available. Cart rental is $8.00 per 9 holes, and  a snack bar and pro shop are on the grounds. Hunting

The Oklahoma Panhandle offers many opportunities for the outdoor sportsman. Texas County has the largest pheasant population of any county in the state. Many other species of animal and fowl are present, including quail, Rio  Grand turkeys, geese, deer, and antelope.

No Man's Land Historical Museum

Since its establishment in 1934 by surviving pre-territorial pioneers from all parts of the Oklahoma Panhandle, the No Man's Land Museum has served as a comprehensive museum of the Oklahoma  Panhandle and adjacent regions.
The 11 room, 10,000 square foot museum exhibits items in four galleries which  reveal what life was like at home and at work for the early pioneers as well as  those who "pioneered" the introduction of modern agriculture in the 20th century.

Game Reserve

The City of Guymon has a Wildlife Game Reserve that is home  to elk, longhorn cattle, buffalo, lama, aoudad sheep, Watsui cattle, oryx and  water buck. The reserve sits on approximately 300 acres and is located north of the dam at Thompson Park.

Rodeos

Oklahoma Panhandle State University Deke Latham Memorial Rodeo is held in April at the Henry C. Hitch Pioneer Rodeo Arena at 12th and  Sunset Lane. This rodeo is rated one of the top college rodeos in the nation. For more information call 580-349-2611 ext. 254 (OPSU Rodeo Club).
Pioneer Days Rodeo is held in May and is a Professional  Rodeo Cowboy Association event ranked in the top 10 in the nation.  The rodeo is  held at the Henry C. Hitch Pioneer Rodeo Arena at 12th and Sunset Lane.
